Walk Daily – Delay Aging

A recent study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine revealed that maintaining aerobic fitness through middle age could delay biological ageing by 12 years. Physical therapists agree and encourage people to incorporate even a modest exercise program into one’s daily routine.

A brisk 30-minute walk each day can improve the body’s ability to generate energy, which can slow and possibly reversing the ageing process. Walking is a low impact exercise for developing and maintaining cardiovascular fitness.

If you are just starting an exercise program and have health concerns, consult a physical therapist first. They can recommend exercises that are appropriate and safe.
